Scot Wise has written about a 1960s album by Andre Dedjean that features Swing Gitan under the name Stephane Stomp; he might be the composer. For some reason, the forum isn't accepting my image upload right now, but you can see a record sleeve here.

I think what's happened with the two forums is that a lot of newer players naturally migrate to Djangobooks because that's where they bought their five-foot stack of books, and they have a lot of questions about p.23 or whatever.
