Gomez Ramirez Guitar

Ok so I was watching the 1962 version of Lolita directed by Stan Kubrick and starring James Mason, Peter Sellers and Sue Lyon, and in Sue Lyon's (Lolita's) room, lo and behold there is a gorgeous Gomez Ramirez guitar. Check it out.

Just got hip to this player. Do yourself a favor kids. If I am late to the party and this is old news--let this serve as a reminder of great talent.

I finally got to play on one of these Aria guitars. I believe it was a MM20 or the oval hole model. Not bad looking. Matte-ish french polish. But here's the thing. The entire bridge is flush with the top--no feet. the tailpiece was also almost flush with the guitar with little to no gap underneath. ...

My band did it for years with an older lineup. It worked really well and was very much like Si tu savais in its vibe. I would suggest getting the full set of changes though available in the Mingus--More Than a Fake Book book. The solo changes are great and are full of tension and release. For my mon...

The Viper's Drag ~Fats Waller I dreamed about reefer five foot long Mighty Mez but not too strong I'll be high but not for long And you know I love ...
