I remember five or six yrs ago when I used to lurk here the traffic was pretty good, now it's like ..where did everybody go. Maybe it's the same reason I never really pursued the music back then, very difficult, but now I've decided to roll up the sleeves & dig in.

I finally found a store that carried a Selmer type guitar, they had a D hole & oval & were asking 339.00 but would take 289.00. My feeling after playing both guitars was ' you get what you payed for' the action was really high and the volume wasn't great, but visually they both looked nice, ...

Thanks Thrip - so say I want to do a solo for Minor Swing I'd use those arpeggios the same way I'd use a penatonic scale for blues, IOW just paint different pictures using those notes. yes ?

I'm in Minnesota - there's a store called the Podium that used to carry them but they don't have any at this time. I called every store I could think of and came up *0* Yea Selmer I knew that, just had a brain blip.
