Re: DEFINITIVE RECORDINGS?

I think the Integrale collection is the most complete compilation of all recorded work, it's twenty double cd's.

Re: Argentines

I've found that the Argentines are suddenly a lot better. I haven't had a parting G for ages and the strings seem to go on for a long time if you really wipe them after each use. Maybe wash your hands before playing in case you have highly corrosive sweat. I also use fast fret after each use.

That's fair enough -I had no wish for that to happen of course and had I known he was going to pass a year later, I certainly wouldn't have said it. I certainly don't think it's funny in any way.Consider it retracted

Very sad - I had hoped to get along and see them play together at some point. A big loss to the music and the roots of Gypsy jazz.

Well just make sure you are completely happy with the guitar when it is done. If not go for an exchange. Good luck!

You are quite within your rights to exchange or get a refund. If I were you I'd try another of the same model to compare - sounds like a duffer. I once had a Gitane with sharp edges in the top E tuning peg and found that putting a small piece of electrical wire insulation through the hole and then y...

Hi, yes, I've had a set of dodgy strings before which did exactly the same.
I've never used Newtone strings , but would recommend Savarez Argentines or Galli strings. Argentines are the standard string for this music and their quality does seem to have improved over the last couple of years. Cheers.

Yes, Dorsetshire would be preferable. I get the shakes if I venture over the Tamar.

I would certainly consider it if the location was listing toward the south west.
May be able to rustle up a couple more cider drinkers as well.
