There's an english index link to what I think is this same page in the Links section, but for some reason I can't seem to get it to work. So, if anyone's looking, try this one...

Nice job! It looks like you're into Bechet, too, no? Why more people aren't playing Petite Fleur, I don't know. And tell us, what's the scene like in Tokyo?
Nice work, Thrip- the key changer is great; I wish more folks used it.
Cor, check here for similar stuff:

I understand it to be when someone takes themselves off the scene for a while in order to do some serious practise ("woodshedding"), to return later in order to blow everybody else off the bandstand with their new chops. A good example being when Charlie Parker took himself off into the woods for a number of months, returning with his whole new conception of jazz.
Well that certainly sounds better than mine. It was explained to me that way by a bunch of old barbershop singers who encouraged you to woodshed off someone who really knew the part.
Ahhh Barbershop, one of those things that is a blast to do , but it has the same problem as being caught riding around on a moped. You just dont want your friends to see you doing it. Before I really hack off the moped riding intelligentia here, I am kidding OK!
That was an oxymoron wasnt it? Hehehehe I really make myself laugh sometimes...
woodshedding, as in going off somewhere by yourself to get your chops up to speed sos you can play like (or with) the pubas. *bows lowly, glad to be here!
