La Foule

Postby BachelorNo2 » Fri Jun 16, 2006 3:01 pm

Hi! I found a midi version of this great waltz played by Mandino and wanted to know where I could find the actual song. I don't know much about Mandino Reinhardt, and unfortunately after looking on amazon.co.uk they seem to have that much of his stuff. Any info on Mandino and the song would be much appreciated!

La Foule

Postby François RAVEZ » Fri Jun 16, 2006 10:31 pm

Hi Bachelor2,

Despite its french title, 'La Foule' was originally a peruvian waltz called 'Que nadie sepa mi sufrir'. While on tour in South America, french singer Edith Piaf heard this song and brought it back to France where she made a hit of this song with new french lyrics to it.
A few years ago 'Los Lobos' made a version which is probably rather close to what the original was.

Best regards
