blues clair melody?

Postby patrick.n » Tue Jun 27, 2006 7:10 pm

Is there one?
I heard Django's and bireli's versions, and they stay about the same for a couple of bars only. I can't seem to find any indication of an 'original' melody, if there ever was one.

I don't think that there is an original melody perse. I think the original melody is the first few bars, the rest is all up to you.

What he said. As a general guideline, I would learn the first two choruses of the Django improvisation and base it off of that.

You can find the theme on Robin Nolan's Gig Book.
