After browsing the well-stocked shop we have here, I noticed the 'Early Tzigane Recordings' from 18blah to 19something C.D. There is a version of 'The Teddy Bears Picnic' which appears on it. Any chance of Zoot whacking it up for a listen?
I'm intrigued. mildly. I wonder if it'll sound like a baby being hit with some cats or something weirder........okay, it's going to be shit isn't it?

It's quite cute actually, there are some cats being mangled in the beginning, though this gets mildly better later on.
No improvisation so I faded it out on the second rendition which is much of the same.

Also Ian Ballamy (top sax player) made a really nice version on his CD the little radio

That violin ain't pretty. A friend of mine has always told me that humming the chorus is a guaranteed way to remove any other irritating tune that's lodged in your head. Try it, it works.

Problem is I now have a fantastic and very complicated arrangement of the Teddy Bear's Picnic sketched out in my brain.

Nay bad, there's a sub-groove thing happening underneath that had me tapping.
