I might be wrong but, didn't Musical Youth cover this a while back?

Zorab
This is your third post plugging what is quite frankly drivel.
Please desist.

lol - in fairness the song might not be that bad, but the arrangement/style makes me shudder.

I agree! musical censorship is a terrible thing. I am shocked that Zoot would ask Zorab to stop. I did prefer the cover version I mentioned, although the version posted is more 'gypsy'. Keep 'em coming Zorab don't mind Zoot, he likes the Scissor Sisters.

I quite liked it, too.
And there's a nice girl in the video.
And a horse........
Quite right, Zorab, what so "drivel" about it?

"Me tut kamaw" is romanesh and means "I love you". Granted it´s not too inventive, but other artists made similar lyrics in history.

The singing of the boy is o.k. The arrangement is contemporary gypsy. If you want to know what gypsies play in their discotheque, go to

http://www.zigeunerwelt.de/

and click on the "Musikseite" button, click "Frankos´s Musik", and listen especially to the "Gemischt" and "Mix" tunes.

Surely not your style if you frequent a Gypsy Jazz Forum, but a lot of people like it. So there is no reason to call it "drivel"

Everything is a matter of taste - says the chimp and bites the soap.

The scales have fallen from my eyes and I now agree with you all it's a great tune, I especially love the horse sequences and have just bought one for our new stage act along with a drummer.
I'm keeping them both in the back garden over the winter months.

We've renamed as the Drivel Sisters and will be making this our theme tune
