Swing for Ninine

Postby justjack » Sun Sep 14, 2003 11:04 pm

Does anyone know where I can find a standard (i.e., melody and chords) chart for this tune? I've got the tabbed one from gadjodrom, but would rather the other. (Or a Powertab version, where I could just print out the standard?) Thanks.

You should be able to find it in the book by Romane and Derek Sebastion called "The Gypsy Sound" which was made to accompany the video and CD "Swing in Nashville. Since it's a Mel Bay product, you could find it just about anywhere or order it here -

Thanks, you two. And Zoot, any idea when L'Esprit Manouche will be available again in the Shop?

dont forget that the CD that comes with the Espirite Manouche book also can be played in a CD player and has music tracks on it in addition to the MIDI files you see when you put in in the computer...

I love his latest CD, "Acoustic Quartet", as well as "Swing in Nashville", "Ombre" and the CD he did with Stochelo Rosenberg. Everything else is basically just rehash.

Ted, you've got to look closer-Tak's looking for Romance discs. I was thinking Gleason's Music to Make You Misty.
(And Tak, if you're looking for something to go with the book, I'd stay away from the one with the Manoukian orchestra. Some of those tunes would make a great sixties spy movie soundtrack, though.)
