My bitches and hoes be burning candles too slow,
The endo I grow will knock out my foes,
cash flow, I get down low, play arpegios,
suit white like snow, with the mustache I grow,
thats the gypsy I know.
Cavavan my ass is tanned,
this shit be big in Japan,
Argentines on my Oliver Marin,
eat mangos, do the tango, listen to Django, while I play in the sand,
of the Rosenbergs I am a fan, flip the script when I jam,
woodshead the waltz head, transcribe survive,
thats the plan, shout out to Bireli Lagrene.

(chorus)
YO, YO, its gypsy jazz in ya neighbour hood
mother f**kers you never should
yeh, Djangos comming, you better pay dues
I'll see you in my dreams with my bitch ass crew..................

Going out to the Quecumbar crew, you know who you be, my man Mathuie, BIG yo to Ninin, WASS up at ya chop, chop diss, Stublag keep it real, don't let em get to you, I call my brother sun cause he shines like one, wasabi to the Barron-Tone, peace, love and good will to the brothers and sisters of mother earth, big thanks to Hot Club Records, Fnak and Amazon frog. God bless, I'm out.

:D

Django's forgotten recordings

Postby djokah » Tue Apr 27, 2004 3:34 pm

Hello and welcome to a great piece of news.

my grandmother recently passed away and left me about three boxes of old tapes, records and a couple of photo albums. Digging through them I came across a picture of Django (Rheinhart) in some hotel room with Bird (Charlie Parker). Django has got some strange white-looking electric guitar which at first puzzled me but then I looked closely and you can clearly see that the guitarist is a cripple. His hand is mangled and deformed. I think it must be Django.

Bird I recognised immediately. Upon further inspection of the boxes and tapes I found some music and it just must be Django and Bird going wild on some blues number. Bird is mad drunk you can tell but damn the Django rythm is incredible. Admittedly it sounds a bit like plunky plunky chicken music but the sax is great and even though the guitar as an instrument has limitations which no one can deny, Django more than holds his own against the master!!!!

I am going to set up an exhibition in Bournemouth soon to display the stuff I found, including a photo of my Granny with Duke!!

How cool is that!! Find of the century, I am going to be rich!!
