Hi there,
I am hoping someone can help shed some light on a question I have.
Before I can order my books I decided to try and learn Douce Ambiance as there is instruction from this site for it:
http://www.hotclub.co.uk/html/twoambul.html
I have since found two other grilles for the same song:
http://www.hotclub.co.uk/gypsyworld/ind ... e_Ambiance
http://emicad.altervista.org/images/douce_ambiance.gif
I have been playing with the first link over Djangos version I have (minus the intro / outro, not figured that bit out yet) and it seems to work although is it 100% correct as the other two links show it differently? Are all of them correct?
Apologies for the long winded question,
ooh, sorry to add one other question, I am trying to get the rhythm correct (le pompe - i think its called) while playing over the song should the chord be struck on the 1 & 3, with the chick's on the 2 & 4?
Thanks again for reading my question
All the best
Steve

Re: Douce Ambiance - correct chording
Hi there, in my humble opinion the emicad version is the most pleasing - I don't know how close it is to the Django version but it's the version we normally play at the Glasgow jam sessions.

Playing this music pretty much ensures you get no chicks
A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any invention in human history, with the possible exceptions of handguns and tequila.
