I know, he wasn't a Djangophile, but he was the first guy to keep me up late. Can't help but think that led me, at least a bit, to this.

I agree Jack he will be missed. Seeing all the old footage that was being thrown around the last few days really reminded me how funny he was. My Grandpa used to let me stay up late and watch him. Although he went left the show when I was pretty young I can always remember his stuff.

Actually, I vaguely remember staying up late to watch the Tonight Show to see the musical guest.. Stephane Grapelli!!! I can't remember the year maybe '78 or so.
