Tie clip mic for use with Bigtone

Postby Ricardo » Fri Nov 14, 2008 12:38 pm

I've just bought a Headway sk60 amp -it's fantastic. I'm now thinking about a tie clip mic to use in conjunction with the Bigtone. Will this be of much benefit and can anyone recommend a good cheapish mic? Cheers.

Audio Technica PRO 70 condenser microphone

Hope that helps

Hi Ricardo, I use an Audio-Technica AT831B miniature cardioid condenser mic.. I often use it in conjunction with my bigtone on my Dupont through my AER.. on its own however it seems to pick up a great deal of "boomy" noise.. Apparently its the one Stochelo and Romane used on their " Elegance " sessions..

Check out the ATM350 too. Bit more expensive, but real good.
