I think i'll buy me one of those. I tried to make one once but it smelled really bad so I gave up.

Isn't the coconut a protected species?

Well i've received the coconut pick- many thanks Damian. It's a lovely bit of craftmanship and plays very well. It feels much lighter than a Wegan and allows fast playing. The tone is fairly bright and the volume is good. At £3.50, I'd recommend trying one out. It would also make a nice 'surf' style necklace if attached to some leather string, meaning you would always have a plectrum at hand should you wander unexpectedly into a gypsy encampment.

If I had any interest in such trivia as plectra, I would say a nicely made coconut one sounds as good as and plays well as the Wegen but wears out much faster. However, since I am not interested, I am saying nothing.
