Michael/Ted:

So when are the Djangomatics gonna make it down the road to Portland? I see they're off further afield to LA. Let's arrange a Seattle~Portland gypsy jam or even better a gig somewhere?!?! before the Summer's over. What do ya say?

Between Seattle & Portland there must be 8 or so decent gypsy-jazz groups.

Cheers

Hi Phil, I just saw this...

I'm up for more Portland/Seattle jamming. I talked with Pete Krebs about maybe having something in Seattle at the Tractor Tavern. Someone needs to do the organizing....are you up for it?

Either way, the Portland crowd is always welcome at our weekly jam at the Latona Pub (every Monday.) It's always fun and we have a steady stream of "stars" stopping by nearly every month: Patrick Sasouiss, Robin Nolan, and tonight Joe Craven.

at the very least we should have a "Django exchange" every first week of April (6 months away from October) where all the players in the Northwest meet up for a party or a big jam? i think there is enough talent in the Northwest to handle the whole deal on our own...
