There is a very strange atmosphere in London tonight, everybody walking on the streets, elegant, but emotionaly shellshocked refugges. We are all deeply saddened and appalled by these horrid events, and yet I can't help thinking that this is all the more shocking to me, a Londener who's university is right next to where the bus bomb went off, because it is in my manor, on my door step, and not thousands of miles away in Iraq. Anyway, us Londeners are resilient, we have had, guy fawks, the blits and the IRA and are stoic. My heart goes out to those directly affected.
