I only heard today that Hans Meelen passed away last week.

He was the Godfather of Gypsy jazz and helped bring gypsy guitarists Stochelo and Jimmy Rosenberg plus others including myself to greater audiences.He was a very close friend of mine and his spirit will continue to inspire me with my music.

ps. Roepeno menas Silver in the sinti tongue and was one of his many nicknames

:cry: whoah! that was a bit of a shock, Hans was cool with me too, he sorted out loads of jams with the gypsys. R.I.P
