Beaufort Jazz is now a well-established event at The Beaufort Hotel (on the A59 between Ormskirk and Burscough, Lancashire) where Gypsy Jazz enthusiasts from all over the North West meet on the first Monday of every month to enjoy an evening of superb, swinging, "Hot Club"-style music. It's an open mic night for anyone who wants to play, as well as being an evening's great entertainment for the audience. There's no admission charge and, from a start around 8pm, the music swings on until late (The Beaufort is a hotel, and so keeps longer hours than most pubs). The hotel is easy to find, on a main road with a large car park. For information, take a look at www.beaufortjazz.com or contact Paul (phone 01704 840954).
