Gypsy/Jazz scene in Melbourne, Australia?

Just looking for any info on the gypsy/jazz scene in Melbourne, as I'm likely to be emigrating in the next 12 months or so, and will be looking for musicians to play with/form a band. I've been playing this style on guitar for 22 years, and I'm considered to be a particularly good rhythm player. Jus...

Anyone know where i can find the dots for 'Webster'?

Re: Your choices?

Just back on my original question; I'd choose something from the '50s. Probably even 'Deccaphonie'. It may not be wholly representative of Django, (not that any single track really could be) but i'm all for spreading awareness of his electric recordings, and 'Deccaphonie' still sounds pretty modern ...

Your choices?

If you had to choose a track to represent Django on a jazz guitar compilation, which would you choose, and why?

Just wanna say thanks to the 5 bands who've shown an interest.
All your information has been passed onto the chap who's organising the wedding, and it will be up to him as to what happens next.
I hope someone gets a decent gig out of it.
Cheers.
Wayne.

Wedding gig available in Devon 7/8/10

They specifically want a Django style band, preferably one that can do a little bit of trad eastern european gypsy music as we...
