Your luthier is probably referring to Red Spruce (Adirondack, Val Di Fiemme...). It has quite a large grain and is probably the best Spruce available for tops (high velocity of sound). While I don't remember any Adirondack GJ guitar, I think Dell'Arte used Spruce from Val di Fiemme for his models. J...

Dutronc goes solo

I knew Thomas Dutronc was not only a backup guitarist but this is the first time I hear him playing a solo (on nylon strings too!). He's quite good, although his way of (not) using the left hand's pinky is quite peculiar!
