one thing i've often wondered when i see pictures like this is, if the instruments are truly unamplified, is it really loud enough - or were people quiet with respect to the music? i just know from experience of playing completely acoustic in a small restaurant, playing as loud as my dupont will go ...

I suspect a little of both.. lovely story if true but could well be largely exaggerated and sentimentalised.. i'm only guessing though because I have no idea whether its really true or not.. does anyone else?

Forgive my ignorance, but can anyone enlighten me on what happened to Naguine? I've read a fair bit of the easily available literature on Django but, aside from the fact that she got more involved in the church, I don't know much more..
