Favorite strings?

Knowing full well that strings sound differently on different violins, who likes what strings and why?

I like the Infeld "red" for their very warm sound

Hi Damiel, just got back in town and saw your post. I've been thinking about trying the Reds, but how would you compair them to...say, Dominants, or Zyex, or others? I too am looking for a warm (maybe even dark) sound for a violin that is usually a bit too bright.

Hey Polkat..
Well I started with infeld red because I wanted to bring more of the dark side out of a violin...And it works to a certain degree... I don't like the e string though and use a Kaplan golden E String which is cheaper and sounds better in my sense...
Cheers then... DJM

PS Please check us out at the Quecumbar next week on Sunday and on Monday the 8th where we will be recording live for Q records...Thanks everyone...
