If I was in London I'd try the Quecumbar, in Battersea. It's where the best London players can be found, so I'm told. The punters are supposed to be loud and disrespectful, and it's unbelievably expensive (although tap water is free to musicians I gather)...but don't let that put you off.

I know Stuart Blagden (one of the UK's top players) often goes down there... and playing with guys like that...you can't help but improve.
